Llevo 2 décadas viajando y fotografiando destinos, hace 10 años recorrí el continente americano en carro y lo quiero celebrar dando la vuelta al mundo de la misma manera. La Vuelta es un proyecto único, nadie más ha hecho este reto. La ruta elegida es la más accesible para rodear la circunferencia de la tierra, pero también para recorrer el mayor número de países posible. Fue una decisión logística y, sin embargo, cada país es inspirador. Hay tanto que ver, que la memoria no basta, por eso te invito a revivir los instantes mágicos de este viaje a través de la fotografía.
Siempre soñé con viajar. Pero no por el simple hecho de llenar el álbum de fotos de una red social, lo que es más, crecí en la época en donde el internet no había conectado al mundo. Pero, irónicamente, estábamos más conectados, entre nosotros pero también con la tierra. Este es un buen momento, sin embargo, para aprovechar las bondades de la globalización y la tecnología 2.0, gracias a la cual puedes acompañarme a conocer el mundo, el hogar de todos.
Me identifico mucho con los antiguos exploradores, que tenían menos apegos materiales y los impulsaba lo desconocido. En este viaje me he aventurado con nada más que mi camioneta y mi equipo fotográfico (y unos cambios de ropa) para ir a buscar historias nuevas e inspiradoras que nos recuerden de dónde venimos y hacia dónde vamos. De alguna forma el mundo todo ha sido conquistado, es momento de que nos dejemos conquistar por él.
I've been traveling and shooting destinations for 2 decades, 10 years ago I made a trip around America and I want to celebrate it traveling the world. La Vuelta is a unique project, nobody has accomplished this challenge before. The itinerary is the most accessible to circle the circumference of Earth, but also to know as many countries as possible. It was a logistic decision, yet, each country is inspiring. Memory is not enough for what there is to see, that is why I invite you to revive the magical moments of this trip through photography.
Traveling was my dream. But not for just filling an album in social media, in fact, I grew up in an era where internet had not connected the world. Ironically, we were more connected, among ourselves but also with earth. This is a good time, however, to take advantage of the benefits of globalization and Web 2.0, thanks to which you can join me in this ride around the world, the home of us all.
I identify myself with ancient explorers, who had less material attachments and were driven by the unknown. On this trip I have ventured with nothing but my SUV and my photography gear (and a few changes of clothes) to go and look for inspiring stories that remind us where we come from and where we are going. In some way the whole world has been conquered, it is time to let ourselves to be conquered by it.

He has published 5 art books: Visión de un fotógrafo, 264 días por América (2011), México Monocromático (2012), México Maravilloso (2014),América de Norte a Sur (2015) y México en Contraste (2017). He began the adventure of becoming the only photographer to shoot the 5 continents by car in 2008, going around America in a 264 days journey. He has photographed more than 500 destinations, to which he will add the ones he goes through in this new round.
